Onuralp Bitim, a member of the Turkish national team, began last season on a two-way contract with the Bulls but was promoted to the team’s standard roster in February.

However, after competing for the final spot on the roster on a non-guaranteed contract ahead of the 2024/25 season, the former Bursaspor forward was waived, along with Kenneth Lofton Jr., as the Bulls confirmed.

Bitim made his NBA debut on February 22 and appeared in 22 games for Chicago, averaging 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12.0 minutes per game.

He was forced to miss the postseason after suffering a detached retina in his right eye, an injury that led to season-ending surgery.
