After four years with the Detroit Pistons, former 7th overall NBA draft pick Killian Hayes signed a deal with the Brooklyn Nets in September, but according to Shams Charania, they decided to waive him.
The 23-year-old French-American guard will continue to rehab a hip injury and pursue an NBA deal in the G League with Brooklyn’s affiliate, the Long Island Nets.
Over the course of four NBA seasons with the Pistons, he amassed 210 appearances, averaging 8.1 points, 5.2 assists, and 2.9 rebounds.
Before the NBA, he played for Cholet in France from 2017 to 2019, and the 2019/20 season for Ratiopharm Ulm in Germany.
