It’s an established occasion, and each year it gets stronger and wider: the tradition of the adidas EuroCamp will continue in 2025, as adidas Basketball announced the 18th edition of the tournament for top draft-eligible prospects, set to take place from May 31st to June 2nd.
As the official announcement says, “Next year’s event will once again bring together top hoopers from Europe, the United States, LATAM, Africa, Australia, APAC, and emerging markets with hundreds of NBA and EuroLeague team personnel, coaches, scouts, and agents”.
Featuring standout athletes aged 18-22, mentored and coached by NBA coaches and players, the adidas EuroCamp will continue displaying the future of basketball on an international platform. “Last year’s edition demonstrated the camp’s ongoing success, expanding its reach globally with the introduction of its first World Team and attracting 60 NBA scouts, 50 European teams, and 50 agents as a testament to the event’s significant impact on the international basketball landscape”, the announcement follows.
In 2024, the event featured James Harden (LA Clippers), Nikola Jović (Miami Heat), Vasilije Micić (Charlotte Hornets), and Ivica Zubac (LA Clippers). Top draft prospects in attendance included Nikola Djurisic (Serbia), Brice Dessert (France), Mohamed Diawara (France), Michael Ruzic (Croatia), Caleb Holt (USA), Darryn Peterson (USA), Taran Armstrong (Australia), and Bogoljub Markovic (Serbia).
Newly, “an all-star team with top-tier players coming out of the adidas Next Gen EuroLeague, beginning its season in late November, will be selected to join the Next Gen team at adidas Eurocamp. The Next Gen EuroLeague competition sees Europe’s best U18 talent display their talent to the world and through which some of the biggest stars in basketball have passed”, the announcement says.
adidas Basketball’s Head of Sports Marketing Cam Mason commented on the event. “adidas Eurocamp provides a unique opportunity for aspiring basketball stars to showcase their talent on a global stage. It’s inspiring to witness a melting pot of diverse talent come together in a community-driven and inclusive environment. We are excited to return and continue empowering these athletes by bringing in the best in class to support them in their professional basketball journey”, he said.
