The Los Angeles Lakers are still perfect starting the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season. JJ Redick’s team improved to a 3-0 record by beating the Sacramento Kings 131-127 at home.
Turning 40 years old in two months, LeBron James is still unbelievably decisive for his team. The Chosen One went off for a triple-double of 32 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists while shooting 12/22 from the field including 4/9 from deep with 4/4 at the line.
He had an interesting clash with Domantas Sabonis, who couldn’t contribute to his team’s win despite him dropping a triple-double too. The Lithuanian star had 29 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists.
Cleveland is one of the few teams still unbeaten, tying with the Boston Celtics at 3-0 in the Eastern Conference after beating the Wizards 135-116 in Washington. The French duo of Bilal Coulibaly (23 points and 6 rebounds) and Alexandre Sarr (12 points and 6 rebounds) wasn’t enough.
The Miami Heat beat the Charlotte Hornets on the road 114-106, with Nikola Jovic starting the game and contributing well enough: 10 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals. Elsewhere, Nikola Vucevic had 18 points and 13 rebounds in Chicago’s loss to OKC.
Moreover, while Santi Aldama (22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists) and Franz Wagner (23 points) battled it out in a rematch of the EuroBasket 2022 Semi-Finals with Memphis finishing on top, Rudy Gobert had 15 points and 12 rebounds for Minnesota’s victory over Toronto.
