After being limited to six points and 1/5 from the field on Wednesday, Victor Wembanyama completed back-to-back games with 25 points behind 9/20 field goals, including 4/13 three-pointers on Thursday evening.
From a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs beat the Utah Jazz, 106-88, in Delta Center.
The French prodigy packing nine rebounds, seven assists, five blocks, and five steals piled up at least five across five categories for the second time in his young NBA career. He became only the third player with multiple 5X5 showings.

“It tells me I need to get my standards up,” reacted Wemby, “When I am able to help my team in all those areas, it should be a consistent thing.”
“He never gets fazed. He is always a poker face,” Sandro Mamukelashvili replied to a question about Wembanyama bouncing back from the poor performance versus the Thunder.
The 25-year-old Georgian forward got ten minutes off the bench, connecting 4/5 shots en route to ten points, helping the Spurs improve to 2-3 in the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season.
“The coaching staff has been doing great with me, getting my head in the right place. Telling me that I am right there, just to stay confident and ready,” he commented on cracking the rotation, “I shot amazing today. I do not know what tomorrow brings. I will take the dub.”
The team coached by Gregg Popovich erased a double-digit deficit twice before jumping into a comfortable lead in the fourth quarter. Polish starter Jeremy Sochan chipped in 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, two steals, and one block. In a brief showing in garbage time, French Sidy Cissoko dished out one assist.
For the hosts, Finnish Lauri Markkanen was ruled out due to low back spasms. Ukrainian Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk stayed on the bench.
