The New York Knicks and two-way center Ariel Hukporti have agreed on a standard two-year NBA contract, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The new deal for the German center includes a team option for the 2025-26 season.

The former Riesen Ludwigsburg center inked a two-way contract with the Knicks for the 2024/25 season in July, but after appearing in four regular season games, the New York franchise decided to offer him a standard deal.

The 22-year-old was originally selected by the Dallas Mavericks with the 58th and final overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft before being acquired by the Knicks.

Before moving to the U.S., Hukporti played for Riesen Ludwigsburg, where he started his professional career. He also represented Nevėžis Kėdainiai in Lithuania for a season and spent nearly three years with Melbourne United in the Australian NBL, before returning to Ludwigsburg last April.

Now, he has a chance to establish an NBA future with the New York Knicks.
