Nikola Jokic registered his third consecutive triple-double as the Denver Nuggets beat the Miami Heat 135 – 22 to capture their fourth straight win.

Jokic had 30 points, 14 assists and 11 rebounds in 40 minutes. He shot 11 out of 13 from the field.

Nikola Jovic posted 11 points and four rebounds as a starter for the Heat.

One free throw by Jusuf Nurkic with 0.8 to play handed the Phoenix Suns a 114 – 113 over the Dallas Mavericks. The Bosnian big man had made the go-ahead basket with 31 seconds to play with a putback dunk and finished with 15 points plus 10 rebounds.

Luka Doncic’s 30 points, seven rebounds, seven assists proved to be not enough for the Mavs.

The Milwaukee Bucks continue struggling. The 2021 champions needed a lot more than Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 24 points and 12 rebounds as they fell 116 – 94 at the New York Knicks to suffer its seventh loss over the last eight games.

Antetokounmpo wasn’t happy at all. “Did we compete the previous game? Yes. Did we compete the two [games before that]? Yes. Did we compete today? No. … If you don’t compete your ass off, you’re not going to win the game,” he said. “[You have to] at least give yourself a chance.”

Franz Wagner scored 27 points, dished out six assists nd grabbed five rebounds to lead the Orlando Magic past the New Orleans Pelicans 115 – 88. This was the first victory for the Magic after five defeats.

Moe Wagner contributed 17 points over 18 minutes off the bench and Goga Bitadze notched 11 points and nine boards for Orlando.
