Sengun thanks teamwork after triple-double: “We are a great team”

A second triple-double in a row for Turkish Alperen Sengun as the Houston Rockets cruised past the Chicago Bulls, 143-107, in United Center on Sunday.

“Everybody is talking, helping each other. We are a great team right now. We are doing the teamwork in offense and defense, everything,” he said after his side jumped to 10-4 with a fifth straight win in the 2024-25 Regular Season.

Highlighting the NBA Sundays contest, the starting center of the Rockets combined 20 points behind 9/15 field goals with 11 rebounds and 11 assists. He also registered one block in 25 minutes.

Starting at five for the Bulls, Montenegrin Nikola Vucevic was limited to nine points, six rebounds, and two assists over 25 minutes. Lasting just under 16 minutes off the bench, Lithuanian Matas Buzelis had eight points, three assists, and one steal.

Comeback win for the Blazers

Plenty of European action in Moda Center with the Portland Trail Blazers storming back from a 16-point deficit to take down the Atlanta Hawks, 114-110.

Israeli Deni Avdija went for 12 points, eight points, four assists, two steals, and one block over 25 minutes. Belgian Toumani Camara started but was held to 1/8 from the field in a three-point effort alongside five assists, four steals, and four rebounds. French Rayan Rupert added three points and three rebounds.

On the wrong end, French Zaccharie Risacher had 11 points, four rebounds, and two assists. Swiss Clint Capela logged eight points, eight rebounds, four assists, one block, and one steal. Czech Vit Krejci (right adductor strain) returned with eight points, three assists, two rebounds, one block, and one steal. Serbian Bogdan Bogdanovic (right hamstring tendinopathy) stayed on the injury list.
