Giannis Antetokounmpo confirms first feature film as a producer

The next step for Giannis Antetokounmpo is venturing into the production of movies.

Co-producing his first feature film, the 29-year-old superstar of the Milwaukee Bucks opened a new chapter in his business career.

“Guys you know how much I love Mykonos,” he wrote in a post shared on social media, promoting the heist comedy, “I am very excited to officially announce my production company Improbable Media has partnered with Studio Galazio to produce my first feature film as a producer. MYKONOS, the movie, written and directed by Christopher Andre Marks, is coming soon.”

The Mykonos cast consists of Klelia Andriolatou, Andrew Georgiades, Julia Fox, Riccardo Scamarcio, and Vito Schnabel alongside Panos Koronis, Makis Papadimitriou, Yorgos Pirpassopoulos, Maria Kavoyianni, Alan Asaad, and Christos Passalis.

The movie is about a band of noble thieves who steal from tourists that destroy their homes on the glamorous Greek island every summer.

“It is a privilege to collaborate with such a talented international cast and crew on this film, especially as we embark on our first major project in Greece,” noted Galazio CEO, writer and director of Mykonos, Christopher Andre Marks, relays The Hollywood Reporter.

The 2018-19 and 2019-20 season MVP of the NBA, and 2021 NBA Finals MVP, started his 12th campaign in the league with 31.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists, 1.5 blocks, and 0.5 steals per contest over 13 appearances with the Bucks. His side has five wins in 14 games of the 2024-25 Regular Season.
