Giannis and the Bucks put struggles behind: “It was horrible, like we lost 20 in a row”

The Bucks opened the season with a road win over the Philadelphia 76ers but then lost six consecutive games, dropping eight of their nine matches.

However, led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, they are finally on the right track, winning four of their last five games, with the latest victory coming at home against the Chicago Bulls.

After the game, Giannis Antetokounmpo reflected on the difficult start to the season and the team’s recent resurgence.

There’s still a lot of games. There are 67 games left. We are trending in the right direction; we’re winning at home… It’s not that bad. At the end of the day, we have a lot of season left. It’s easy for us to put our heads down, but we’re not going to do that. We are not going to feel bad about ourselves. I don’t expect anybody to feel bad about us,” Giannis said.

The early losing streak wasn’t easy to endure, but the Bucks have managed to turn things around.

Losing five or six in a row was a horrible feeling; it felt like we lost 20 in a row to me. We don’t want to go back there. We just want to keep trending in the right direction, playing good basketball, trusting one another, moving the ball, and putting ourselves in a position to win games. And try to win as many games as we can,” Antetokounmpo concluded.
