Giannis Antetokounmpo continues his MVP run and the Bucks keep on winning

Giannis Antetokounmpo had his first career triple-double with 40 points or more to lead the Milwaukee Bucks to their sixth straight win.

Behind, 42 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists by Antetokounmpo the Bucks beat the Washington Wizards 124 – 114 to climb even higher in the Eastern Conference standings.

This was the third triple-double over the last six games for Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak hadn’t played in the NBA Cup game of the Bucks vs. the Miami Heat Tuesday, a 106 – 103 for the Milwaukee.

Jonas Valanciunas had 16 points, seven rebounds and five assiss for the Wizards. Alexandre Sarr struggled with seven points on 2-8 shots but had his moment when he delivered a block on Giannis.

Former EuroLeague season and Final Four MVP Vasilije Micic had his best game in the season so far with 15 points, eight rebounds and five assists in a 104 – 107 loss for the Charlotte Hornets to the Bogdan Bogdanovic-less Atlanta Hawks.

Micic was once again a starter and played 35 minutes in the absence of injured Lamelo Ball. He shot 6 – 12 en route to his season-high 15 points.
