Due to a stomach illness, Giannis Antetokounmpo did not participate in the practice of the Milwaukee Bucks on Monday.

On the official injury report, he is listed as probable with right patella tendinopathy, heading to a meeting with the Detroit Pistons in Little Caesars Arena on Tuesday. The illness was not listed.

Barring a setback, the Freak will be available for the next fixture of the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season schedule, the last game of pool play in the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup as well.

The team coached by Doc Rivers would advance to the Quarterfinals by clinching the top seed of Group B of the Eastern Conference with a win. Even with a loss, the Bucks can still progress via a 3-1 record through the Wild Card standings of the East, depending on other games.

After sitting out one game last week, the Greek international bounced back with a 42-point triple-double against the Washington Wizards, pushing his side to 10-9 with a sixth straight win in the Regular Season on the most recent edition of NBA Saturdays. Overall in his 12th campaign with the Bucks, he is averaging 32.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.6 assists, 1.4 steals, and 0.5 blocks per contest over 17 appearances.

Besides Antetokounmpo, the Bucks listed 30-year-old Taurean Prince (right calf contusion) and 24-year-old MarJon Beauchamp (left hamstring tendinopathy) as probable for the key game. In contrast, Khris Middleton (ankle surgeries) remains out.

Only one player is on the injury list of the Pistons, Swedish Bobi Klintman sidelined indefinitely with a right calf contusion. The 21-year-old rookie has yet to debut in the Regular Season.
