There’s no ceiling for Victor Wembanyama, who has been shining this season for the San Antonio Spurs on both ends of the floor, keeping on confirming himself. The NBA has valued his month of November by naming him Western Conference Defensive Player of the Month.
He was brilliant defensively in the past four weeks, leading the whole NBA in blocks per game at 3.6. If that wasn’t enough, the French generational talent is also ranked 4th in contested shots (10.1) and 8th in deflections (3.3) per game.
Victor Wembanyama’s having a huge impact on Gregg Popovich’s team on the offensive end too, putting up a double-double of 24.0 points and 10.2 rebounds per game – he also shares 3.6 assists.
The 2003-born Atlanta Hawks newcomer Dyson Daniels, who has been playing magnificently this season in the NBA, was named Eastern Conference Defensive Player of the Month. He’s leading the whole league in steals (3.0), deflections (6.7), and forced turnovers (2.8) per game.
