Featured as a starter for the Charlotte Hornets for the fourth straight game of the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season, Vasilije Micic posted a double-double, his first since late in the 2023-24 season. However, his side lost, 125-101, to the New York Knicks in Madison Square Garden and fell to 6-16 with a seventh straight loss.

“For me, every game in the NBA is like a final,” said the 30-year-old Serbian guard after tallying 14 points and 12 assists, “I want to do my best, try to prove that I’m capable of playing here.”

Besides the double-double for the depleted Hornets, Micic recorded one rebound. Over 34 minutes, he made 6/13 from the field, including two triples.

“I don’t even know how it looks from the outside, but I just know I gave my best,” he described his efforts in the league based in North America.

Fellow starter for the team coached by Charles Lee, French Tidjane Salaun was forced to an early exit after spraining his left ankle. The 19-year-old forward was limited to two minutes with four points plus one steal and one rebound.

Coming off the bench, French Moussa Diabate logged four points, three rebounds, and one block.

Among the standouts for the Knicks going up to 14-8, British O.G. Anunoby tucked in 25 points with 10/18 field goals, six rebounds, four steals, two blocks, and two assists.

German Ariel Hukporti had one rebound and French Pacome Dadiet was on a G League assignment.
