The Houston Rockets listed Alperen Sengun among four questionable players for the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup Quarterfinals meeting with the Golden State Warriors in Toyota Center on Wednesday.
The 22-year-old Turkish center is dealing with left knee soreness, as noted in the official injury report. Making his way to all previous games of the 2024-25 Regular Season, he put up 18.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.1 blocks per contest, establishing himself among the leading players in a 16-8 start.
Besides Sengun, Steven Adams (right knee), Jae’Sean Tate (lower back pain), and Cam Whitmore (lift wrist contusion) are also questionable to play versus the Warriors. After missing the last game, experienced point guard Fred VanVleet is available for head coach Ime Udoka.
For the visitors, Andrew Wiggins (right ankle) is listed as questionable. De’Anthony Melton (left knee) and Moses Moody (left knee) are out.
Progressing to the Semifinals, the winner will face the Oklahoma City Thunder in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Bogdanovic is questionable
The Milwaukee Bucks are already in the Semifinals and await the winner of the game between the New York Knicks and Atlanta Hawks in Madison Square Garden. However, Serbian sharpshooter Bogdan Bogdanovic can end up sitting out the Quarterfinals fixture. After being ruled out from the previous regular-season contest due to a left quad contusion, he was listed as questionable for the clash with the Knicks.
Czech Vit Krejci is healthy and can get additional minutes by head coach Quin Snyder if Bogdanovic remains out. French Zaccharie Risacher, the first overall pick of the 2024 draft, and Swiss Clint Capela, the starting center, are available as well.
Jalen Johnson (right shoulder soreness) is questionable, while Trae Young (right Achilles tendinitis) and De’Andre Hunter (right knee) were confirmed as probable. Cody Zeller is still away from the team.
With Mitchell Robinson (left ankle) stuck on the injury list, the Knicks announced Josh Hart (left ankle sprain) as questionable and Karl-Anthony Towns (right knee) as probable.
British O.G. Anunoby, French Pacome Dadiet, and German Ariel Hukporti are the European options for head coach Tom Thibodeau.
