Washington Wizards’ French duo couldn’t avoid the defeat on the road to the Cavaliers

Transitioning from his first to his second season in the NBA with the Washington Wizards, Bilal Coulibaly has been showing huge progress, especially on the offensive end.

Another proof of such a statement came last night, as the French all-arounder put up 27 points over 10/18 from the field including 5/8 from the three-point line, grabbing 6 rebounds too and sharing 5 assists. He was assisted by Alexandre Sarr’s 14 points and 7 rebounds.

However, the team just can’t turn this season around, as they are already at the bottom of the standings in the Eastern Conference with a 3-20 record following last night’s 115-105 loss to Cleveland.

Santi Aldama pushed Memphis in Brooklyn

Overall, it was a good night for French players in the NBA on a personal statistics level, considering Victor Wembanyama’s effort to lead San Antonio against Portland and Rudy Gobert’s helping Minnesota beat the Lakers: he finished with a double-double of 12 points and 13 rebounds for the Wolves.

Elsewhere, Nikola Jokic didn’t have the best of games but still contributed with 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals to the 120-98 win over the Clippers. Ivica Zubac, instead, suffered a defeat but still came home with a double-double of 13 points and 13 rebounds.

Finally, Santi Aldama was crucial in giving the Memphis Grizzlies the 135-119 road victory against the Brooklyn Nets, coming off the bench with 20 points over 5/9 from downtown, grabbing 6 boards. On the other side of the court, Dennis Schroder went close to a double-double with 15 points and 8 assists.
