Alperen Sengun posted his 19th double-double of the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season, pushing the Houston Rockets to a win, 114-110, against the Toronto Raptors in Scotiabank Arena on Sunday.

Helping his side storm back from a 16-point deficit, the 22-year-old Turkish center paired 17 points and ten rebounds alongside five assists, three steals, and two blocks. He played 32 minutes in Toronto on NBA Sundays. On the losing end, Austrian Jakob Poeltl (bilateral groin strain) remained sidelined for the team coached by Serbian Darko Rajakovic.

Considered questionable due to a left ankle sprain, Domantas Sabonis was eventually cleared but suffered a blowout loss, 122-95, against the Indiana Pacers in Golden 1 Center. The Lithuanian big lasted just over 31 minutes, tallying a 17-point, 21-rebound double-double to go with four assists and one steal for the Sacramento Kings.

“We’re at this point where I can’t really rest, even if it’s hurting. We got to try and win games and I felt like my team needed me,” he mentioned after playing through injury and posting a league-high 26th double-double, “I’m pretty bruised up but I’ll be OK.”
