Luka Dončić suffered an injury after spending 16 minutes on the court during the Christmas Day matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the American Airlines Center.

The Slovenian star left the game in the second quarter, and the Dallas Mavericks ultimately fell short, as the Minneapolis team secured a 105-99 road victory.

Dončić appeared to suffer a left calf strain and finished the game with 14 points.

Kyrie Irving erupted in the second half, leading a spirited comeback with 26 points in the third and fourth quarters, finishing with a game-high 39 points. However, his efforts weren’t enough to turn the tide.

Anthony Edwards contributed 26 points and eight rebounds, while Julius Randle added 23 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists to lead the Timberwolves to victory.
