Domantas Sabonis enjoyed a fourth win in a row with the Sacramento Kings.
On the latest installment of NBA Sundays, the Lithuanian big scored 22 points with 10/13 field goals in a blowout win, 129-99, against the Golden State Warriors in Chase Center. Grabbing 13 rebounds, he added to a league-high 31 double-doubles in the 2024-25 Regular Season. Lasting nearly 30 minutes, he also threw in seven assists.
“It was fun,” Sabonis described the team performance on Sunday, “We came out and just wanted to stay consistent, and build off what we did these last games.”
Logging nine minutes, Ukrainian Alex Len recorded two points, two rebounds, one block, and one assist for the team coached by Doug Christie.
On the wrong end, German Dennis Schroder finished with three points, two assists, and two rebounds in just under 21 minutes.
Double-double for Alex Sarr
Behind a triple-double by Dejounte Murray, the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Washington Wizards, 110-98, in Capital One Arena, overcoming a double-double by Alex Sarr. The French rookie finished with 18 points and 11 rebounds plus three assists. Fellow French youngster Bilal Coulibaly (illness) was unavailable. Lithuanian Jonas Valanciunas registered six points and seven rebounds. For the Pels, German Daniel Theis paired five points with seven rebounds.
Despite ruling out Finnish Lauri Markkanen (low back spasms), the Utah Jazz prevailed, 105-92, over the Orlando Magic in Kia Center. Contributions by Ukrainian Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk amounted to 12 points, four rebounds, three steals, and three assists over 20 minutes.
For the losing side, Georgian Goga Bitadze paired nine points with 11 rebounds and German Tristan da Silva had six points. Germans Franz Wagner (right oblique tear) and Moritz Wagner (left knee surgery) were among several players remaining sidelined.
In Toyota Center, the Houston Rockets edged out the Los Angeles Lakers, 119-115. Turkish Alperen Sengun chipped in 14 points with 6/14 from the field alongside six rebounds and four assists over 31 minutes.
French Tidjane Salaun went for six points and nine rebounds, and Serbian Vasilije Micic did not get on the board as the Charlotte Hornets fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers, 115-105, in Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
