Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić has been named the NBA’s Western Conference Player of the Week for his standout play from December 30th to January 5th.
This marks Jokić’s second Player of the Week award this season and the 16th of his career, the most by any player in Denver Nuggets history.
Over four games, the three-time MVP showcased his all-around brilliance, averaging 36.5 points, 16.5 rebounds, 11.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game. He maintained efficiency with 46.7% shooting from the field and 88.9% from the free-throw line, helping the Nuggets secure three wins in four outings.
Over in the Eastern Conference, Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum earned the Player of the Week accolades after averaging 25.5 points, eight rebounds, and 4.5 assists over four games, with his team claiming three victories.
It’s worth noting that Tatum and Jokić are the only NBA players with multiple Player of the Week honors this season.
