It’s no news that Nikola Jokic isn’t only one of the best players in the whole world, but also a triple-double machine.
The Serbian superstar did exactly that in the latest 125-105 home win against Brooklyn, finishing with a monster stat line of 35 points, 12 rebounds, and 15 assists while shooting 14/21 from the field.
What’s different, with respect to the previous seasons in Denver, is that another triple-double machine joined the team: Russell Westbrook.
The former Oklahoma City Thunder guard finished last night’s game with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists too.
This was the second time they finished a game both with a triple-double, and they now became the first duo in NBA history to conclude multiple games with a triple-double.
After the win, Russell Westbrook spoke about his relationship with the Joker. “Nikola [Jokic] is the best player in the world man, and I just try to play off him, making the game easy for him. He does a hell of a job making it easy for myself and everybody else”, he said.
