The main story of the NBA in the last month is definitely the Jimmy Butler saga. He expressed his wish to be traded from the Miami Heat, then the Florida franchise suspended him.

It is still to be seen what the final outcome will be, but for years it seemed that Butler and the Heat were a perfect fit, with the experienced forward leading the team twice to the NBA finals.

Panathinaikos center Omer Yurtseven, who spent two years with Butler in Miami, shared his thoughts on the situation.

They trusted the franchise with him. I don’t know what went on in the background, so it’s hard to tell what’s really going on. They embraced him from day one, and he embraced the culture from the start. I don’t know what made them separate, but I thought it was a perfect fit. It was great to see him dominate in the playoffs; he was a different beast than he was in the regular season. Spo got every bit of juice out of him,” Yurtseven said on the NBAHoops podcast.
