Alperen Sengun once again led the Houston Rockets to victory, recording a double-double in a road win over the Portland Trail Blazers.
After the game, the head coach of the Texas team, Ime Udoka, discussed how the Turkish center handles the increasing media and fan interest due to his on-court success.
“All the losing they did before I got here, and now we are seeing some success. For the most part, I think he handles it well. According to what my coaches, who worked with him one-on-one during the summer, said, he is like Michael Jordan in Turkey. He faces a lot more when he goes home, so he is used to it now,” Udoka said about Sengun.
The Rockets are second in the Western Conference standings with a 28-13 record this season, while Sengun is averaging 19.4 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game.
