European players didn’t make a big impact in Monday’s NBA action.

The Houston Rockets hosted the Detroit Pistons but fell to Cade Cunningham and his teammates.

Alperen Sengun was on the verge of a double-double, but it wasn’t enough for the hosts as the Pistons claimed victory with a final score of 96-107.

The Turkish center scored 11 points on 5/14 shooting from the field, grabbed eight rebounds, and dished out five assists, but former No. 1 NBA draft pick Cunningham shined with 32 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists for the winning team.

The Atlanta Hawks also fell short, losing 119-110 on the road to the New York Knicks, with Bogdan Bogdanovic missing all of his field goal attempts in 15 minutes.

That marked the first game for the Serbian sharpshooter without a three-pointer after 110 consecutive games in which he made at least one shot from beyond the arc. His streak was halted at Madison Square Garden and remains the fifth-best in NBA history.

As for the other European players involved, O.G. Anunoby had eight points and nine rebounds for the winning team, while Clint Capela’s 12 points and nine rebounds, along with Vit Krejci’s 11 points, weren’t enough for the visitors.

The Charlotte Hornets defeated the Luka Doncic-less Dallas Mavericks 110-105, with Moussa Diabate scoring 10 points, and Vasilije Micic grabbing three rebounds and three assists. Maxi Kleber had just two rebounds and assists for the losing side.

The Memphis Grizzlies prevailed over the Minnesota Timberwolves 108-106, with European players taking a back seat. Santi Aldama had just two points and two rebounds for the winners, while Rudy Gobert scored four points with four rebounds for the Minnesota team.
