Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic were among the players in the Eastern and Western Conference starter pool for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game.

In addition to the international superstars with Greece and Serbia, Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum, and Karl-Anthony Towns were on the East list, and Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and LeBron James were on the West list.

The results were announced by the NBA on Thursday.

Per the press release: “Starters for the 2025 NBA All-Star Game were selected by fans, current NBA players and a media panel. Fans accounted for 50% of the vote to determine the starters, while players and media accounted for 25% each.

After all votes were tallied, players were ranked in each conference by position (guard and frontcourt) within each of the three voting groups. Each player’s score was calculated by averaging his weighted rank from the fan votes, the player votes and the media votes. The two guards and three frontcourt players with the best score in each conference were named NBA All-Star Game starters.

Each player’s score was weighted based on 50% for fan vote, 25% for players vote and 25% for media vote. The formula to determine a player’s score is (Fan Rank * 2 + Player Rank + Media Rank)/4.

French Victor Wembanyama ranking fourth in the frontcourt selections and Slovenian Luka Doncic ranking third in the guards of the West are likely to get an All-Star nod.

The All-Star Game on February 16 will feature a mini-tournament consisting of four teams and three games, instead of the traditional format of two teams in one game. The 24 All-Stars will be split into three teams and a fourth team will be the winning side from the Rising Stars Game.
