Dirk Nowitzki had 11 points until the very last seconds of the game between Dallas Mavericks and L.A. Lakers in the Staples Center while the score was 90 – 90.
With the Mavs having possession of the ball, naturally, the German giant was the one to take of business. One shot, one totally Nowitzki-esque kill and the Lakers went down, 90 – 92. Another day at work for Dirk.
Kobe Bryant was sidelined, watching the game from the bench. With him in, perhaps the Lakers would have a chance to win the game. But he was not able to play. But once again, Kobe showed the stuff he is made from in a different way.
After Dirk made the game winning jumper, Kobe didn’t only pat him for this, but, after it, he visibly expressed how impressed he was with what the Mavs’ player did. Because true greatness, recognizes true greatness.
