Franz Wagner continues to write about Orlando’s history. In the 121-113 win at home against the Detroit Pistons, the German guard scored 32 points, 25 of which came in the fourth and decisive quarter.

Tying with Tracy McGrady for most points scored in a quarter as a player of the Orlando Magic, the No.22 shot 1o/22 from the field and a perfect 8/8 at the line.

“It’s always T-Mac. It’s always him. Obviously, it’s really cool”, he first reacted when he was told he tied the record with a franchise player like Tracy McGrady.

Later on, he followed. “It’s especially cool for me. After a tough start, I stayed confident and kept playing my game. There have been games in the past where I didn’t do that”, Wagner added.

Without Goga Bitadze and Moritz Wagner, Franz Wagner was joined by Paolo Banchero with 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists; Tristan Da Silva scored 5 points with 4 rebounds off the bench.

In the 2024-25 Regular Season, where the Orlando Magic are in the Play-In picture as the 7th team in the Eastern Conference, Franz Wagner is averaging 24.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.
