Deni Avdija scored 30 points, a new personal best for the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season, pushing the Portland Trail Blazers to a comeback win, 125-112, over the Milwaukee Bucks in Moda Center.

The 24-year-old Israeli forward made 10/18 from the field, including three triples, lasting nearly 38 minutes. He added nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Fellow starter, Belgian Toumani Camara finished with eight points, 11 rebounds, and four assists. With the winner of Tuesday’s game already decided, French Rayan Rupert recorded 1:11 in the fourth quarter but did not get on the board.

“I just feel so much different since the beginning of the year, in terms of how we play, how we share the ball, how we bond together,” noted Avdija, “I was aggressive, trying to make plays, energy, motor. They tried to play physical with me in the beginning but it just made me smile, to be honest with you. Other than that, do not overthink it, just one game at a time. I am happy we got the win.”

After trailing through the first half with the deficit peaking at 12 points, the Blazers dominated the second half en route to a 19-point lead. Greek star Giannis Antetokounmpo, who packed a game-high 39 points alongside 12 rebounds and five assists, was not enough for the team coached by Doc Rivers.

Despite dealing with an injury in his left knee after the third quarter, German Dennis Schroder registered a team-high 23 points helping the Golden State Warriors pull away late and defeat the Utah Jazz, 114-103, in Chase Center. Besides 8/20 field goals, he produced five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Dutch Quinten Post chipped in ten points, five rebounds, and two assists. Finnish Lauri Markkanen was out for the visitors due to a back issue, but Ukrainian Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk tallied five points, four rebounds, and one assist.

In State Farm Arena, the Houston Rockets held on for a 100-96 victory versus the Atlanta Hawks. Turkish Alperen Sengun posted an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double plus two assists and one steal. On the losing end, Czech Vit Krejci finished with 13 points, five rebounds, two steals, two assists, and one block. Besides French Zaccharie Risacher remaining sidelined with a left adductor strain, Serbian Bogdan Bogdanovic and Swiss Clint Capela were ruled out due to personal reasons and back spasms, respectively.

Overcoming a brief exit due to a right knee injury, French Guerschon Yabusele was among the main contributors for the Philadelphia 76ers in a win, 118-104, against the Los Angeles Lakers in the Wells Fargo Center. He put in 14 points, including ten in the first quarter, five rebounds, four steals, and three assists, complementing a 43-point display by Tyrese Maxey. Turkish Adem Bona threw in four points, six rebounds, three blocks, and one assist.
