Partnering up with San Antonio Spurs teammate Chris Paul, Victor Wembanyama is set to participate in the annual Skills Challenge of the approaching NBA All-Star Weekend.

NBA insider Chris Haynes revealed the news on Sunday afternoon.

During his rookie campaign in the league, Wemby went to the Kia Skills Challenge, teaming up with Paolo Banchero of the Orlando Magic and Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves in Team Top Pick but fell shy of a winning effort. The second opportunity will be alongside Paul, a veteran of five appearances in the Skills Challenge. Additional details on the event set to take place in San Francisco on February 15 will be soon shared by the NBA.

After also playing in the Rising Stars Challenge in last year’s All-Star Weekend, the French prodigy was upgraded to a selection among the reserves of the 2025 All-Star Game. He is among the 24 players to be split into three equal teams on Thursday evening. The draft to shape Team Chuck, Team Shaq, and Team Kenny for a four-team tournament, including the winner of Castrol Rising Stars which will be named Team Candace, will replace the traditional format of the annual All-Star Game.

Instead of a direct meeting of the league’s top players split into two 12-player squads, the action will spread into three games. Two matchups in he Semifinals leading to a Final between the winners. Each game will be decided when one side will reach or surpass 40 points.
