Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic claimed NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for the period from February 3 to 9. The Serbian center averaged a triple-double with 29.8 points, 10.8 rebounds and 10.3 assists as his team won all four games played in that stretch

The NBA has announced that Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for games played from Monday, February 3rd to Sunday, February 9th. Jokić wins the award for the third time this season, the most of any player in the NBA. He has now earned Western Conference Player of the Week honors 17 times in his career, the most in franchise history.

During the week, Jokić, 29, averaged 29.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, 10.3 assists, and 1.0 steals while shooting .657 from the field and .818 from the free-throw line en route to a team record of 4-0. On the season, he’s averaging career-highs in field goals made per game (11.3), field goals attempted (19.6), threes made (2.1), threes attempted (4.5), three-point field goal percentage (.462%), assists (10.3), steals (1.8), and points (29.6). Among league ranks, Jokić is third in points per game, second in assists per game, and tied for third in rebounds per game, becoming the only player in the NBA to rank top three in each category.

Jokić kicked off the week registering 27 points (9-13 FG, 1-3 3FG, 8-10 FT), 14 rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, and two blocks vs. New Orleans on 2/3/25. He finished the game with 903 career steals, becoming the fourth center in NBA history to secure 900+ steals before their 30th birthday, joining Hakeem Olajuwon (1,223), Alvan Adams (927), and Andre Drummond (1,021). In the week’s second matchup against the Pelicans, Jokić tallied 38 points (15-28 FG, 5-13 3FG, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, 10 assists, one steal, and one block in 36 minutes on 2/5/25. The next night, Jokić registered 28 points (11-16 FG, 2-4 3FG, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, 12 assists, and two steals in 31 minutes vs. the Magic on 2/6/25. It marked his league-leading 24th triple-double of the season. Jokić is five triple-doubles away from tying his franchise record for most in a single season (29 in 2022-23). To close out the week, Jokić recorded 26 points (11-13 FG, 1-2 3FG, 3-3 FT), 11 rebounds, and nine assists in 29 minutes at Phoenix on 2/8/25.

The Sombor, Serbia native is averaging 29.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, 10.3 assists, and 1.8 steals while shooting .575 from the field and .462 from the three in 36.1 minutes this season.
