On the way to the 2025 NBA All-Star Game, Victor Wembanyama labeled LeBron James as underrated.
Asked whose game is the most underrated in the league, the 21-year-old French big pointing to the four-time NBA champion became viral across social media networks on Friday afternoon.
“I’m going to go with LeBron,” replied Wemby in a video shared by NBA on TNT.
Following up, he expressed some doubts about the question but still stuck with LeBron.
“Underrated just means you’re not rated at your right value, right? I think LeBron’s underrated,” he confirmed.

On Sunday, the leading player of the San Antonio Spurs is set to play in the All-Star Game for the first time in his career, after being limited to the Rising Stars in his first year in the league based in North America, following being selected first overall in the 2023 draft. He is part of Chuck’s Global Stars and will face Kenny’s Young Stars in the Semifinals.
On the opposite side of the bracket and taking on Candace’s Rising Stars, LeBron is representing the Los Angeles Lakers in Shaq’s OGs. A potential All-Star collision with Wemby would be through the winners of the Semifinals facing each other in the Final of the three-game mini-tournament in Chase Center.
Opening All-Star Weekend duties on Saturday, Wembanyama partners with Spurs teammate Chris Paul in the Kia Skills Challenge. From Team Top Pick alongside Paolo Banchero and Anthony Edwards last year, he is switching to Team Spurs.
