Serbian guard Bogdan Bogdanović changed teams midway through the 2024/25 season. At the NBA trade deadline, he moved from the Atlanta Hawks and joined the Los Angeles Clippers.

After a couple of games in the new environment, including a win over the Chicago Bulls in which he scored a crucial three-pointer, he shared his thoughts about the change he made, admitting he didn’t know where he would end up until the last moment.

Seven days before the trade, I knew I was going to change teams. I didn’t know where I was going to end up, I even thought I might be in Toronto or New Orleans… There were about ten teams in the mix, it’s a tricky period when you don’t know where you’ll be. But I’m glad I ended up with the Clippers, I’m happy,” Bogdanović said to RTS.

He is settling in with the new teammates and looking forward to meeting city rivals, the Lakers, and their newest star, Luka Dončić.

We all know each other in the NBA, now we have the chance to play together. Another challenge in life. I’m satisfied. I like how everything looks; the next game is the derby against the Lakers in two days.”

Bogdanović also touched on Serbia making it to the 2025 EuroBasket undefeated. He wasn’t able to help the team qualify due to conflicting schedules.

Together with Latvia and France, we went through the qualification cycle undefeated, which is really difficult. I congratulated the coach and his staff; they had the biggest challenge in assembling the team. Thanks to them for securing us another championship,” Bogdanović concluded.
