Kristaps Porzingis made 32 appearances for the Boston Celtics during the 2024/25 season and is currently out after missing six straight matches.
The last time he played was on February 27th in a loss to the Detroit Pistons. He shared an update on his condition via social media, mentioning that he’s been dealing with a viral illness that remains undiagnosed.
“I have been dealing with some viral illness that we haven’t been able to fully identify yet. I am recovering and getting better. But still working my way back to full strength to help this team. Thanks for the support, and I’m hoping for a healthy return soon,” Porzingis wrote.
The Latvian center has been averaging 18.9 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season. However, the Celtics have managed to win their last four games without him, holding the second-best record in the Eastern Conference with 47 wins and 18 losses.
