Stepping up, Bogdan Bogdanovic was the star for the Los Angeles Clippers in a comfortable win, 119-105, versus the Miami Heat in Kaseya Center on Wednesday.

In addition to head coach Tyronn Lue sitting out a third consecutive game of the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season due to back pain, Kawhi Leonard was ruled out on the bottom end of a back-to-back. Entering the starting lineup of acting head coach Brian Shaw, the 32-year-old Serbian guard poured in a season-high 30 points behind 11/16 field goals, including four three-pointers. Over 38 minutes, he added ten rebounds and four assists.

Another double-double from fellow European starter with Croatian center Ivica Zubac pairing 26 points with 14 rebounds plus one assist in 38 minutes. French Nicolas Batum started as well, chipping in six points, two assists, two rebounds, and one steal in just under 33 minutes.

On the wrong end, Serbian Nikola Jovic remained sidelined with a broken right hand, but Swedish Pelle Larsson lasted 28 minutes, tallying ten points, three assists, and one rebound for the team coached by Erik Spoelstra.

“I should have just called a timeout. That would have been easier,” said 24-year-old Larsson, describing his determination to hustle for a loose ball in the second quarter, “I remembered a play in Philly when the ball was on the floor, and I didn’t dive for it. It kind of haunted me for a little bit, so I’m glad I got that one back.”

The Clippers improved to 36-30, pushing the Heat to 29-36.
