Nikola Jokic has been dominating over recent years, combining numerous individual accolades with leading the Denver Nuggets to an NBA championship in 2023. However, he is far from his peak, according to Bogdan Bogdanovic.
“He keeps proving that even when you’re the best, a three-time MVP, and an NBA champion, there’s still room for improvement,” the 32-year-old guard of the Los Angeles Clippers talked about his teammate in the senior national team of Serbia with Basketball Sphere, “You can always refine your game and push yourself to be even better.”
“He has truly raised the bar, and it’s incredible how consistently he performs at such a high level,” he added and went into a note about the upcoming season awards in the league based in North America, “I hope and believe he will win MVP again this year.”
The Joker has already been named Most Valuable Player of the 2020-21, 2021-22, and 2023-24 seasons, in addition to being the Finals MVP in 2023.
Standing out in the 2017-18 campaign, James Harden, a new teammate of Bogdanovic at the Clippers, was season MVP.
“He changed basketball so much,” said Bogdanovic, focusing earlier in Harden’s career, “He just needs shooters around him to make it easier for him to play one-on-one, and then he can create for others once the defense collapses.”
After three years with the Sacramento Kings and five years with the Atlanta Hawks, the 32-year-old Serbian winger, a former Turkish Airlines EuroLeague champion with Fenerbahce, was traded to the Clippers in early February, reinforcing the bid for a berth in the 2025 Playoffs.
