LeBron James is set to appear in the next episode of the sports talk show The Pat McAfee Show.
A preview of Wednesday’s discussion featured the four-time NBA champion seeming genuinely surprised by an assumption about Giannis Antetokounmpo struggling to compete effectively in the 1970 era of the league based in North America.
“You trying to tell me Giannis wouldn’t be able to play an NBA game in the ’70s?” wondered LeBron and countered, “Giannis Antetokounmpo would have 250 points in a game in the ’70s.”
McAfee, a former NFL player and American sports analyst, previewed the interview set to be streamed on Wednesday’s edition of The Pat McAfee Show without specifically naming additional topics. However, LeBron perhaps went from the Greek superstar of the Milwaukee Bucks to Slovenian Luka Doncic recently joining him at the Los Angeles Lakers.
Beyond putting the Freak in a previous decade of the NBA, possibly comparing legends from various eras, the 40-year-old combo forward is focused on the 2024-25 Regular Season and helping the Lakers rank as high as possible in the Western Conference standings. The team coached by JJ Redick currently sits fifth with a 43-28 record being three games safe inside the top six zone leading directly to the 2025 Playoffs presented by Google, half a game behind the fourth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies, one game away from the third-seeded Denver Nuggets, and three games from the second-seeded Houston Rockets.
Down the stretch of the 82-game regular-season schedule, Giannis and the Bucks are gearing up to move forward without Damian Lillard. At 40-31, the team guided by Doc Rivers is 5.5 games safe inside the top six teams of the Eastern Conference, trailing the fourth-seeded Indiana Pacers by two games and the third-seeded New York Knicks by five games.
