Interesting clashes between European players stand out in last night’s NBA action

With eight games on the NBA schedule, many European players took the court, and several faced off against each other.

Luka Dončić led the Dallas Mavericks to a 104-98 win over the Houston Rockets and Alperen Şengün, snapping the Texas team’s three-game winning streak.

The Slovenian star was on the verge of a double-double with 20 points, nine assists, and six rebounds. On the other side, Şengün finished with 14 points, seven boards, and six assists.

Another notable European duel took place in Florida, where Ivica Zubac dominated under the rim in the LA Clippers’ 96-87 road win over the Orlando Magic.

The Croatian center grabbed 20 rebounds, scored 18 points, and dished out five assists. Meanwhile, Paolo Banchero had 26 points, and Franz Wagner followed with 21, but their efforts weren’t enough for the home team.

In a more direct clash, Kristaps Porziņģis outdueled Santi Aldama as the Boston Celtics secured a 117-103 road win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Latvian big man finished with 19 points, five rebounds, and five assists, while the Spaniard was among the best performers for the losing team with 21 points and eight rebounds.

Isaiah Hartenstein had 14 points and seven rebounds as the Oklahoma City Thunder dominated the Chicago Bulls 145-117. Matas Buzelis added 14 points and seven boards, while Nikola Vučević posted 11 points and eight rebounds for the losing side.

The Miami Heat crushed the Washington Wizards 120-94 on the road, with Pelle Larsson contributing 15 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Tristan Vukčević had 14 points for the Wizards, while Alex Sarr chipped in with eight.

The Charlotte Hornets edged out the Utah Jazz 110-106, with Tidjane Salaün scoring 12 points, Jusuf Nurkić adding six, and Moussa Diabaté four.

Among the standout performances, Domantas Sabonis delivered 25 points and 16 rebounds, but the Sacramento Kings fell short on the road, losing 111-109 to the Indiana Pacers.
