Dario Saric has been rumored to be a target of such clubs as Real Madrid, Panathinaikos Athens, Fenerbahce Beko and Dubai BC for the upcoming offseason. He can decided whether he’ll stay with the Denver Nuggets and his return to European basketball may be delayed.

According to the Denver Post, Saric “currently plans” to exercise the $5.4 million player option he has in his contract with the Nuggets and stay with the team at least for the 2025-26 season.

“I didn’t sign a contract with nobody,” Saric told the Post. “Obviously, I still have a contract with Denver at the end of this season, my option for next year. So you know, me and my family didn’t decide yet. I’m still kind of going through this season, and when the season is done, I’m going to see with my family what’s the best thing, what’s the best choice for me. … I really don’t (know) myself what’s the right choice for me in this moment.”

In the 2024-25 season so far, Saric has appearedin just 16 games, averaging 3.5 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 13.1 minutes. It’s the eighth season in the NBA for the 30-year-old Croatian forward.

Saric last played in the EuroLeague in 2015-16 with Anadolu Efes before moving to the Philadelphia 76ers to begin his NBA career.
