Following the loss against the Golden State Warriors, the Los Angeles Lakers rapidly followed with a victory, beating the New Orleans Pelicans 124-108 at home.
A huge reason why JJ Redick’s team was able to get such a victory is attributed to Luka Doncic’s impact, as the former Dallas Mavericks leader had a team-high 35-point night while also sharing 6 assists and grabbing 6 rebounds.
He shot 4/10 from deep and 11/11 at the line. “That was a must-win game, that’s all it matters,” he commented in the post-game interview.
Asked about Austin Reaves’ contribution, he praised the American guard. “He’s doing everything on the court, he’s helping the whole team. He’s been doing that since I got here basically,” he said.
Since moving to the Los Angeles Lakers in shocking fashion, traded by the Dallas Mavericks, he has been averaging 26.8 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game.
