Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, Billy Donovan, Danny Crawford, Sue Bird, Maya Moore, Sylvia Fowles, Micky Arison, and the 2008 US Olympic Men’s Basketball Team were elected as members of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

The Class of 2025 was announced on Saturday. The newest inductees will be enshrined on September 6.

“The Hall of Fame is thrilled to celebrate the Class of 2025, a group that has left a profound mark on the sport at every level,” said John L. Doleva, President and CEO of the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. “This year’s class embodies excellence, innovation, and an enduring passion for basketball—whether through game-changing performances, leadership on the sidelines, or shaping the sport’s global reach. We look forward to honoring this Class and their lasting contributions to the game.”

The list of 17 finalists put forward to the Honors Committee in February featured late Serbian tactician Dusan Ivkovic, one of the most important figures in European basketball in a coaching career stretching nearly five decades, as the International Committee finalist. Former Maccabi Tel Aviv player Tal Brody was a finalist of the Contributors Committee alongside Arison.

In addition to the Redeem Team, Anthony, Crawford, Donovan, and Howard, other finalists of the North American Committee were Mark Few, Marques Johnson, Jerry Welsh, and Buck Williams.

In contrast to Bird, Fowles, and Moore, Jennifer Azzi reached the finalists of the Women’s Committee but fell shy of an election. Similarly, Molly Bolin was the finalist of the Women’s Veteran Committee.
