Egor Demin and other young Euros declare for 2025 NBA Draft

Egor Demin, a BYU freshman and former Real Madrid academy player, has declared for the 2025 NBA Draft, according to ESPN. The Russian guard/forward is projected to be a lottery pick.

In his debut year with the BYU Cougars, the 18-year-old Demin averaged 10.6 points, 5.5 assists and3.9 rebounds in 27.5 minutes. He made the Big 12 All-Freshman team.

Prior to joining the Cougars, Demin led Real Madrid to the 2024 EuroLeague Adidas Next Generation Tournament trophy, posting 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in the 85 – 84 win over Insep in the Final.

Another European prospect that entered the NBA Draft is Mega Superbet forward/center Bogoljub Markovic, per his agent Misko Raznatovic. The 19-year-old Serbian big man is averaging 13.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 31:08 minutes this season, playing in a professional level in the ABA League.

French forward Noah Penda has also declared for the NBA Draft, per ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. The 20-year-old player has 5.2 points and 2.5 assistthis season in the French League with Le Mans.
