After Izan Almansa, another talented Spaniard is set to join the 2025 NBA Draft.
According to Jonathan Givony, Real Madrid forward Hugo Gonzalez will declare for the upcoming draft.
The 19-year-old, who was a regular part of Real Madrid’s rotation this season, averaged 3.0 points and 1.8 rebounds in 10.0 minutes across 50 games, and is projected to be a first-round pick.
Gonzalez made his ACB debut with Real Madrid at just 16, while leading the club’s junior team to Adidas Next Generation Tournament titles in 2023 and 2024, earning MVP honors in Munich.
He has already built an impressive résumé, starring at the U17 World Cup and U18 EuroBasket in both 2023 and 2024, and receiving a call-up to the Spanish senior national team in February.
