The Minnesota Timberwolves announced the team has agreed to terms with Tom Thibodeau as President of Basketball Operations and Head Coach, and Scott Layden as General Manager.
Thibodeau, the former Bulls coach, after one year of absence returns to the NBA benches and he will have in his roster Spanish star Ricky Rubio, the former Euroleague champ Nikola Pekovic from Montenegro and Serbian Euroleague MVP Nemanja Bjelica.
Meanwhile the Phoenix Suns are retaining Earl Watson as their head coach. Watson, who initially was named interim coach after Jeff Hornacek was fired on Feb. 1, has agreed to a three-year deal with the Suns. The Suns are also eager to keep Bosnian sharp shooter Mirza Teletovic.
