The Washington Wizards and Scott Brooks have agreed in principle on a five-year deal worth $35 million for Brooks to become the team’s head coach. There’s no official announcement yet, however this seems to be a detail.
Multiple reports are confirming the deal and the question is if Brooks can be considered an asset for the team in a possible effort to lure Kevin Durant to Washington. According to many observers, Durant to Wizards can be considered a longshot, even if the team hired his former coach at Oklahoma City.
It remains to be seen how things may change in the summer in the team, in which Polish center Marcin Gortat has a contract until until 2019 with a total salary of almost $40 million for the next three seasons.
