The Denver Nuggets have agreed to terms with Jordi Fernandez in the assistant coach position next to Michael Malone, according to Marca. Fernandez will fill the vacancy that was left with the departure of Chris Fleming to Brooklyn Nets.
Both Malone and Fernandez were part of the Cavs‘ staff in 2010. After Malone left Cleveland, Fernandez stayed on the bench. In 2013 he joined the D-League’s Canton Charge as the top assistant. One year later he became the team’s head coach, making history.
