After one season in the NBA, former CSKA Moscow center Sasha Kaun may finally have to retire.
The Philadelphia 76ers have acquired him and cash considerations from the Cleveland Cavaliers for the rights to Chukwudiebere Maduabum, as the Cavs announced.
They traded Kaun to clear space to sign big man Chris Andersen, who was LeBron James’ teammate with the Miami Heat from 2012-2014. And the future of Kaun in the Sixers seems already decided.
Sources: Sixers intend to waive Kaun. Cavs sending cash in deal to make it worth Sixers' trouble, essentially purchasing Philly cap space.
