Cleveland Cavaliers have invited shooting guard Markel Brown to training camp, according to The Vertical. He played the last two seasons in Brooklyn, averaging 5.3 points in 109 career games.
Brown was originally selected by Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round of the 2014 draft and was sent to Brooklyn Nets the same night. He earned playing time early because of his defense, using his frame to defend multiple positions.
When training camp begins at the end of the month, Brown will get a chance to compete for a spot on Cleveland’s 15-man roster.
