Kristaps Porzingis has agreed to a multiyear deal with Adidas, according to a report from Nick DePaula of The Vertical. He will reportedly make between $3 million and $6 million per year as part of the largest shoe deal ever for a European player!
Nike, which sponsored Porzingis last season, has the right to match Adidas’ offer.
Given his potential and abilities, it’s no surprise Adidas is trying to take advantage of a young player on his rise by locking him into a sponsorship deal for the long term. His new teammate Derrick Rose is also one of the company’s biggest endorsers.
