In quite the wild twist, Dionte Christmas, who had verbal agreement with Greek Kimi BC signed a contract with the Philadelphia 76ers only to be cut some hours later.
The 30-year old American guard, who is also a Philadelphia native, lost the opportunity to play in the NBA, where he played 31 games with the Phoenix Suns during the 2013-2014 season.
While he was expected to continue his career in Greece, it’s quite obvious that he couldn’t say no to the offer from the NBA and join the team that had also offered him his first contract in the league back in 2009. Now it remains to be seen how things will end up.
