NBA is changing the rules in the voting process ahead of the All-Star game, putting the players’ choices and media picks in the mix.
As AP reported, fans will still have more saying when it comes to who will be an All-Star since they will account for 50% of the vote. All current players and a panel of basketball media will each account for 25% of the total votes.
No doubt that this decision will add an extra touch of spice in the whole procedure. Especially when it comes to who the protagonists of the whole thing, the players themselves, will vote. Should be interesting.
The voting for the 2017 All-Star Game begins on Sunday and will be concluded on January 16, almost one month before February 19 when the match itself will take place in New Orleans.
